Grooming & Everyday Hygiene

Regular grooming is not just about keeping your pet looking clean. Brushing the coat, checking the ears, trimming nails when needed and keeping bedding and feeding areas clean can make it easier to notice changes early.

  • The amount of grooming needed depends on the pet, coat type and lifestyle. Introduce grooming slowly and keep sessions calm, especially with puppies, kittens or pets that are not used to being handled.
  • Regular grooming helps keep your pet comfortable and also gives you a chance to notice changes in the skin, coat, ears, eyes or paws.
  • Brush according to your pet’s coat type, keep bedding and feeding areas clean, and trim nails when needed. Introduce grooming gradually if your pet is nervous about being handled.
  • Bathing does not need to be excessive. Use products suitable for pets and avoid using human shampoos unless a veterinarian has specifically advised it.
